Elements of 90s fashion are creeping back into Vogue (or at least on to Alice Dellal). Here’s how RDuJour is redoing it.
Hornets has two Kensington locations at 36b Kensington Church Street and 2 & 4 Kensington Church Walk. The clothing selection includes second hand mens apparel from the best makers, bespoke Savile Row tailoring, as well as new designer products. Emphasis is on the classic English gentleman look, stock including schoolboy blazers, panama hats, cufflinks, tuxedos, etc. Women should not be put off as you can mix your own preppy look with finds here.
Fin’s Shoes are a new take on the classic men’s loafer. This is the George Summer Loafer which comes in several exotic colors including Ibiza -Raspberry, Mustique - Pistachio, and the Santorini - Azure Blue featured above. They are also available in more traditional hues of chocolate brown and black. Celebrity fans of Fin’s include Tom Aikens and Piers Morgan and can be purchased HERE for £80.00.
One of our favorite purchases this summer was this dress from Forever 21 for $24.80. The fraying of the chiffon flower trim on the dress is in similar style of that trim on this Chanel blouse pictured first. For the price difference the essence of the look is definitley worth it!
Kira Plastinina
If you’re a fan of Dasha Zhukova then you might enjoy meeting 15-year-old fashion designer and Paris Hilton wannabe Kira. Another star of the young Russian “bratski”, Kira is a phenomenon in Moscow where she has her own chain of high street stores which specializes in cheap-chic apparel similar to that of H&M and Topshop. The daughter of businessmen Sergei Plastinin (co-founder of Wimm-Bill-Dann, Russia’s largest dairy producer), Kira was given a £50million leg up from pops to start her line and he has been supportive ever since, reportedly paying Paris Hilton £1million in 2007 to make an appearance at a Kira show. Luckily for Sergei Kira is dedicated and hopes to study at Parsons while over seeing the New York store (which was supposed to open in March 2008). (click through for more)
