Eating London: Byron, proper hamburgers!

08/05/2008 (7:46 am)

This is a real American hamburger joint located at 222 Kensington High Street (right near the entrance to Holland Park) mixed with a hip London interior vibe. The food is delicious, we recommend their selection of mini burgers. The beef comes from exclusively from grass fed Aberdeen Angus herds in Scotland and the buns are freshly baked every day by an East End family. Yum yum.

Eating London: The Nordic Bakery

07/31/2008 (9:21 am)

The Nordic Bakery is located in Golden Square, SoHo. The atmosphere is modern and simple, achieved through sleek dark wood furniture and dim lighting. Options for what to eat are limited, but nonetheless yummy. An assortment of sandwiches such as salmon and ham and cheese on the bakery’s signature rye bread are freshly made, however it is the cinnamon buns that make the line run out the door. Steaming hot from the oven, they are soft and gooey and surprisingly not disgusting. Another must try delicacy are the rice cakes coated in homemade butter. Two sandwiches and two drinks were 10.70 making the Nordic a decently healthy home run.
