Princess of Sweden Madeleine attends a game between the Los Angeles Kings and the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (October 14). Madeleine, who is currently working in New York at the World Childhood Foundation, a charity started by her mother, Queen Silvia, to benefit children, was recently embroiled by a bomb scare. A fan apparently sent a package full of lingerie, music tapes, and love letters to the foundation’s Madison Avenue office which threw security in to a tizzy. “The security scanned it as they always do with packages sent to the royal family. There was nothing dangerous in it,” Anika Sonnerberg, a spokesman for the royal family, told the New York Post.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Jonas Bergstrom, the Swedish Royal court announced yesterday. Thirty-year-old Bergstrom and the twenty-seven year-old princess have been dating since 2002. Princess Madeleine’s wedding will take place after her older sister Crown Princess Victoria, who is also currently engaged.
