Monaco National Day 2009
Monaco National Day was yesterday. For the past few years the holiday has been celebrated on Saint Rainier’s Day (November 19) in honour of the late Prince Rainier, the principality’s previous ruler. Princess Caroline attended the ceremonies with her children Andrea, Charlotte, Pierre, and Alexandra. Her husband, Prince Ernst of Hanover, who Caroline is rumored to be divorcing was not present. Prince Albert escorted his longtime girlfriend Charlene Wittstock (who was sporting a severe 1980s hairstyle reminiscent of those once done by his sister Princess Stephanie) to the Rockin Roll themed event, while his niece Charlotte Casiraghi was accompanied by her boyfriend Alex Dellal. Alice is the daughter of former Brazilian fashion model Andrea Dellal. Her godfather is the famous fashion photographer Mario Testino and her brother Alex dates Pierre’s sister Charlotte Casiraghi. Pierre and Alice have been seen together around Milan, at the Monte Carlo Grand Prix, and most recently at the “Valentino in Rome, 45 years of Style” Exhibition.
