RIP IT UP AND START AGAIN is a selected body of work by Brendan Lott. The artist and former newsstand owner had an idea to create one collage a day with the magazines that surrounded him. The project spanned for exactly one year, resulting 365 collages. Each collage is an seemingly effortless construction of popular culture, art, design, and fashion. The work is spirited, reflecting Lott’s almost hallucinatory imagination and playful style. The collages are visually rich, provocative, and sensual. These selections focus on the male gender with subjects ranging from artist Ai Weiwei, to comedian David Williams, to a young Stevie Wonder, and others. RIP IT UP AND START AGAIN is curated by Yaoska Davila and will be on view at TENOVERSIX, the popular Melrose Avenue fashion boutique, from April 6 – May 4.

The Grimaldi family hosted the annual Bal de la Rose du Rocher over the weekend in Monaco. This year’s event was themed “Le Belle et Pop” by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who also helped select music performances by the likes of Rita Ora and Theophilus London. Charlotte Casiraghi was best dress as always, wearing an amazing pink ruffled gown by Chanel. Will you be there? On March 23 the annual Bal de la Rose du Rocher takes place in Monte Carlo and this year’s theme was selected by designer Karl Lagerfeld, a close friend of the Princely family. Lagerfeld has contracted pop-stars such as Rita Ora and rapper Theophilus London to help reinvent the golden era of the Belle Epoque as the Belle et Pop. Performing alongside them will the be Prague Concert Philharmonic while Chanel ambassador Caroline de Maigret will hit the decks as the event’s DJ.

Ines de la Fressange, Roger Vivier Brand Ambassador and Bruno Frisoni, Creative Director, hosted a cocktail party at the Roger Vivier Boutique on 29 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré to celebrate the exclusive prelaunch of Roger Vivier book, published by Rizzoli in the presence of the book’s authors and contributors. The raison d’être for the book was to discover the evolution of Roger Vivier from an iconic and inspirational shoe brand to a sophisticated, contemporary Parisian, luxury accessories Maison with an International reach.

Upon arrival, guests (who included the likes of Catherine Deneuve, Jessica Stam, Stella Tennant and Vincent Dare) were greeted by gorgeous oversize white paper roses that adorned the façade of the Maison. Inside, the furniture disappeared underneath white paper, and whimsical white paper roses were suspended to complement the dreamy décor. A life-size Roger Vivier “pop-up” book revealed the iconic signature pieces of the Maison that magically appeared to float between the white pages. The book will be available from April 2nd in the Roger Vivier boutiques and in fine bookstores.

The e-retailer’s new Editor-in-Chief, Lucy Yeomans, hosted a cocktail reception in honor of Natalia or the unveiling of her namesake shoe collection at Caviar Kaspia in Paris last Friday.
