When the New Museum decided to launch NEW Inc., the museum’s new incubator to support the careers of emerging artists, it teamed up with Calvin Klein to host an evening with the likes of Gigi and Bella Hadid, Vanessa Traina Snow, Leigh Lezark, brand designer Francisco Costa and Fabiola Beracasa. For the brand’s Spring 2015 collection New York-based contemporary label Opening Ceremony presented it’s new offerings in the form of a one-act play written by Spike Jonze and Jonah Hill. Titled 100% Cotton the stage performance included appearances by the likes of Elle Fanning, Dree Hemmingway and Rashida Jones to an audience that included Yoko Ono, Dakota Fanning, John Taylor and Jason Schwartzman amongst others. Fresh on the heels of Chanel’s latest USA themed venture – Karl Lagerfeld’s Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas Collection – the brand has launched a new boutique in Aspen, Colorado. Launched earlier this week with a cocktail party and dinner hosted by Chanel Inc. Fashion Division President Barbara Cirkva, it-girls Jen Brill, Tennessee Thomas, Laura Love, Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, Harley Viera Newton, and Leigh Lezark were also on hand to celebrate the opening of the new Wild-West themed outpost of the iconic French brand.
