Karl and Claudia for Dom Pérignon
Dom Pérignon has unveiled Dom Pérignon Wedding and in commemoration of the event the company is releasing a never before seen image that Karl Lagerfeld snapped years ago of Claudia Schiffer. This archival image will be used for the Dom Pérignon Wedding international ad campaign. Claudia, who drank Dom Pérignon at her wedding explains that “For me, Dom Pérignon is the ultimate symbol of luxury, elegance and quality”, adding “I had Dom Pérignon at my wedding and since then it is always with us to celebrate special occasions”.

Anyone up for hanging ten with Kaiser Karl? I wonder if Lagerfeld designed these or if he knows the exist.. previously, when actress Audrey Tautou stated she sometimes wore Chanel rain boots, Karl got angry and said he didn’t even know Chanel made rain boots. Regardless, the idea of a Karl Lagerfeld in some Tommy Bahama’s makes me smile!

31 Rue Cambon, Issue No. 1
This is the first issue of Chanel’s new in-store magazine called 31 Rue Cambon. Karl Lagerfeld chose fellow Parisian fashion hipster Olivier Zahm, of Purple magazine, to art direct and design the debut issue. It will be distributed world wide so now everyone can go into a Chanel boutique and walk out with a goodie!

Claudia Schiffer and Karl Lagerfeld were spotted in shooting the new international ad campaign for Chanel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, yesterday with Argentine supermodel Ivan de Pineda. The shoot took place at an estancia in Montegrande, a suburb of Buenos Aires, and in the traditional San Telmo neighborhood. Schiffer modeled a large black hat and jacket inspired by the local ‘gauchos’ costumes. (Claudia’s outfit looks amazing– I can’t wait to see how this comes out!)
