The latest collection by Swedish retailer H&M’s ‘Conscious Exclusive’ line was inspired by vintage haute couture pieces held within the archives at the Louvre Museum in Paris. The brand sent designers to research over 300 years of clothes in order to create a collection that combines the old and new. “The collection combines layers of artistic references, shapes and textures, and is topped off with highly decorative accessories and deco-inspired bijoux,” says H&M’s creative director Ann-Sofie Johansson. The collection collection will launch on April 7th to coincide with the opening of “Fashion Forward: 300 Years of Fashion” at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. H&M is the exclusive sponsor of the exhibition. View the full lookbook below.
