Lola Leon blogs for Material Girl

After recently announcing that she designed a fashion line called Material Girl with her pop star mom Madonna, Lourdes ‘Lola’ Leon has taken to blogging to help promote the range. In her first entry on the fashion line’s website Lola shares that she loves My Chemical Romance and all things 80s. Material Girl is set to be sold by Macy’s and aimed at girls in Lola’s age group. She also tells us on her blog that, “I’ll be 14 in October, so I can’t wait for that because I am FINALLY allowed to dye my hair … THANK YOU MOTHER!!“

Prince Albert of Monaco to Wed Charlene Wittstock

Yesterday it was announced that Prince Albert of Monaco is due to marry his longtime girlfriend Charlene Wittstock, a former Olympic swimmer from South Africa. Charlene and Albert recently attended the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden (above) and looked every bit the glamorous royal couple!

Alexander Wang’s New NYC Digs

Fashion designer Alexander Wang reportedly purchased this new $2million pad in Tribeca. It is a one-bedroom, two bath with exposed brick walls and a chef’s kitchen. Wang previously resided in a $675,000 one-bedroom loft in the East Village, which he bought back in 2005, while he was still just a sophomore at Parsons. Continue reading to view additional photos.

Dasha Zhukova’s New Los Angeles Pad

Pop magazine editor Dasha Zhukova has been gifted a new $19.5 million home in the Hollywood Hills by boyfriend Roman Abramovich, with whom she has just had her first child. A native of Los Angeles, it was reported that Dasha wants to be closer to her mother who still lives in the city. Dasha’s new Tuscan-style mansion includes six-bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a swimming pool, movie theater and wine cellar. Leonardo DiCaprio and Halle Berry are said to be neighbours. Kate Moss Engaged!

Supermodel Kate Moss‘ longtime boyfriend Jamie Hince, guitarist from the Kills, apparently proposed to her over the weekend on her 36th birthday. Hince supposedly flew out to Mustique on Saturday where Kate was doing a photo shoot and presented her with a diamond ring he picked out with the help of friend Sir Philip Green. Congrats!!
It was also recently announced that Kate will be designing a signature line of bags for the French handbag company Longchamp, for whom she has been the face for the past four years. Kate has a longterm contract to design two collections a year, the first of which will arrive in stores February 11.

*Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana tweeted earlier today about her work with Roberto Cavalli, “Exciting news! I shot the new Cavalli campaign with Carolyn Murphy. The campaign was shot by Steven Meisel.” …
*While WWD recently reported that Dutch It-Model Lara Stone will be the new face of Louis Vuitton, @LiveFashionWeek hit the Twitter yesterday saying that Daisy Lowe is shooting their new campaign in Miami. (I guess this means no more Madge then?)
*And finally, Donatella has hired Rolling Stone offspring Georgia Jagger to be the new face Versace, (for a very large sum reportedly) despite recent lay offs at the Italian fashion house. Donatella recently stated that she ran the business under the influence of cocaine so current economic woes should be no problem.

- Teen Vogue is headed back to television after ditching its role on The Hills, which helped boost its circulation to over a million readers a month, a few seasons ago. Editor Amy Astley recently gave a talk to FIDM students in Los Angeles and one of them copied her lecture notes on to her fashion blog. Under the “future of Teen Vogue” section was bullet point “working on a new TV show!”. But whatever the project is it doesn’t sound like Astley will have much screen time. She also told students, “I don’t want to be a media personality. I’ve seen people laughed off Madison Avenue for taking the reality star route, it can really backfire.”
