Homes of Fashion: Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin
The late French musician Serge Gainsbourg (first husband of Jane Birkin) home is located on rue de Verneuil in Paris, and the exterior has become a place where fans come to celebrate his greatness, hence the graffiti. Although the neighbours once tried to paint over the ‘mess’ it was quickly restored by Serge fanatics and daughter Charlotte has apparently been trying to turn the home into a museum as everything remains intact as it was the day he died.
Repetto Turns 60
The brand behind the original ballet flat, which was made popular by Brigitte Bardot (she was trained as a dancer before becoming an actress), celebrated its sixtieth birthday this year. To commemorate the date celebrities such as Vanessa Paradis and Catherine Deneuve designed their own pair of shoes for Repetto. (click through for more)
