Consuelo Castiglioni’s autumn-winter collection for her label Marni consisted of her signature bohemian looks with structured lines and geometric patterns. Definitely a collection where one will have to pick a piece here and there rather than pull on the whole runway ensemble it was one of my favorite collections from Milan so far. Ports 1961 Launches in Europe
Popular American brand Ports 1961 has launched in Europe with their first boutique in Harvey Nichols. Later this year the label, which is popular with celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Andrea Bowman, will open up their flagship store in Paris. Louis Vuitton Menswear A/W 2010
Marc Jacobs presented the Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2010 menswear collection at the 104 in Paris yesterday during Paris Menswear Fashion Week. Guests at the show included Kanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose who were decked out in fur coats, Purple magazine’s Olivier Zahm, French graffiti artist Andre, Vahina Giocante and more. Christian Dior A/W 2010 Couture
Designer John Galliano brought the couture show home to the Christian Dior headquarter salon in Avenue Montaigne to present the A/W 2010 collection in a similar style to that which would have been used in the 1950s. A bit low key seeming against the grey back drop, Galliano’s collection reflected many elements of Dior’s famous New Look. Continue reading for full photos.
Alexis Mabille Couture A/W 2010
The Alexis Mabille A/W Haute Couture show was held yesterday at L’Academie in Paris. I fall more and more in love with Mabille’s clothes every time I see them and this latest presentation, made up mostly of light and antique feeling fabrics, only added to my enthusiasm for the designer.
