Vogue editor Anna Wintour arrives at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York yesterday afternoon with her daughter Bee Schaffer for her appearance on Late Show With David Letterman. Anna was promoting the new documentary the September Issue that goes behind the scenes at Vogue and also talked about the fashion industry’s new event Fashion’s Night Out. Vogue editor Anna Wintour gave a speech last night at The Gordon Parks Foundation’s Celebrating Fashion Awards Gala held at Gotham Hall in New York City. Pictured with Anna are photographer Bruce Webber and fashion designer Ralph Lauren. 

Anna Wintour (whose daughter Bee Shaffer graduated from Columbia University yesterday) gave a rare interview with CBS program 60 Minutes on Sunday. 

Following Carine Roitfeld exciting appearance on CNN, Anna Wintour’s interview with 60 Minutes will air tomorrow (Sunday May 17). In the teaser below Anna calls Vogue magazine a ‘glamorous girlfriend’. In other clips of the rare interview with Wintour that have been released Anna confirms her passion for fashion and explains her frequent use of sunglasses. “They are seriously useful. I can sit in a show and if I am bored out of my mind, nobody will notice. And if I’m enjoying it nobody will notice. At this point, they have become, really, armor.”

On Monday night Dolce&Gabbana, Anna Wintour, Franca Sozzani (editor of Italian Vogue), and Letizia Moratti (the mayor of Milan) held a party to celebrate a new retrospective of photographs taken from American Vogue over the last 75 years. The exhibit, titled Extreme Beauty, is being shown at the Palazzo della Ragione, also where Monday’s event was held. Among the many celebrity guests were  Scarlett Johansson, Kate Hudson, Freida Pinto, and Claudia Schiffer, as well as it-girls Peaches Geldof, Alice Dellal, Laura Fraser, sisters Coco and Bianca Brandolini d’Adda and Mathilde and Beatrice Borromeo.
