Sara Gilbane Interiors
RDuJour has a new interior design crush in Sara Gilbane, a Manhattan based decorator. Known for her classic modern-traditional style, and combining low-key and elegant pieces with a youthful, chic flair grounded in practicality, Sara studied at Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design before working with Kemble Interiors for five years. She was also kind enough to mention RDuJour in a recent interview with Lonny magazine (see here!!).

The New York based designer was inspired by classic American activewear like football uniforms, and combined these details to make puff shoulder jersey tops, mini-dresses out of trench coats, high knee sweat socks, and more. Jayne Pierson is a luxury ready-to-wear and bespoke British label creating a range of women’s clothing, footwear, and accessories. The Autumn / Winter 2010 collection shown here is titled ‘Tatiana’s Dream’ and was showcased at London Fashion Week and will be displayed alongside the work of seven other designers with On/Off at Paris Fashion Week. ‘Tatiana’s Dream’ focuses on premium finishes and high-end conceptual designs, inspired by David Lynch’s Dune, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hans Bellmer and Vladimir Knabokov enabled elaborate print designs and a post-modern, futuristic design vision. The look book photographs and film were done by Donald Christie.
