Men’s Style Notes: Desert Boots

09 January 2010

RDuJour loves Desert Boots for boys. Note please only wear the cute suede kind as often exhibited by Charlotte Casiraghi’s boyfriend Alex Dellal (above, pictured at the Frieze Art Fair in London late last year) rather than the straight off the army tank kind worn by Justin Timberlake (pictured leaving the Givenchy show in Paris 2008, Hubert probably cringing).

Tweed Jackets

03 August 2009

scarf-hermes-tied

Get The Look: For fall add in a classic tweed jacket to your wardrobe. Using the current big shoulder trend to your advantage you can get a classic preppy look right out of a John Hughes movie! Check out these photo inspirations.. first we have a look styled in the 70s featuring a model wearing Hermes “Promenade de Longchamps” scarf on her head, some Ray Ban wayfarers, and of course a great tweed jacket! ….For a less off to the country club feel check out Vanessa Paradis in the early 1990s. Her look is still timelessly chic but the casual hair and bracelets don’t make her look so stuffy.
