Iris Van Herpen Spring 2013 Haute Couture

Known for her use of innovative craftsmanship in her work, Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen did not disappoint in her latest collection. Inspired by a childhood dream and “a desire to understand control and re-create lightning” the runway included a centre piece sculpture with a bolt of lightning running through it’s figure which compliment Van Herpen’s dresses. The dresses are according to the designer, “the first 3-D-printed flexible dresses”.
