John Galliano is taking up a temporary design residency in the New York studio of the legendary Oscar de la Renta. The designer was fired from Dior and his own emponymous label in 2011 and will spend the next three weeks helping de la Renta prepare for fashion week. Of the move, Oscar says: ”John and I have known each other for many years and I am a great admirer of his talent,” de la Renta said. “He has worked long and hard on his recovery and I am happy to give him the opportunity to reimmerse himself in the world of fashion and reacclimate in an environment where he has been so creative.” Woop for John’s return!
