Whisky Mist
Whisky Mist is the latest venture of the crew behind London’s Mahiki nightclub (Piers Adam and Nick House, with Guy Pelly on maneuvers). Whisky Mist is located in the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane and is targets an older, more exclusive crowd than Mahiki (i.e. international bankers rather than socialites)…
House told the Evening Standard: ”We want Whisky Mist to have a British feel but to make it sexy and chi-chi. A certain type of person goes out in Park Lane. Whisky Mist is between China Tang and Nobu. The location is almost a statement.” Adam added: ”But in Mayfair you’ve property companies, hedge funds, private banking. And Whisky Mist will be really pertinent for a core sector of those industries. Currently, the only chic bar in Mayfair is Claridge’s. So all these people who might dine at Scott’s or Cipriani have nowhere to go just for a drink.” With Jade Jagger-designed keyrings, the idea for the club was formulated during a number of trips to Sardinia, Capri, St Tropez and Monaco.” The interior of Whisky Mist includes low ceilings, black suede walls, and red leather and grey couches.
So far all the young royal’s and friends have been spotted at the Whisky, Princess Beatrice with boyfriend Dave Clark, Chelsy Davy, and Kate Middleton was there following Nelson Mandela’s Hyde Park bash.
